

Francis Konopka
Francis has previousley qualifying in 1992 Frances has worked extensively in all areas of chamber and court practice. Since 2015 she has increasingly focussed on family law and has specialised in this area. Frances brings this experience to Lanarkshire Law Practice, having joined in December 2021
She advises on Residence and Contact; Parental Rights and Responsibilities; Financia
Provision on Separation and Divorce/Dissolution of Civil Partnerships;
Separation Agreements, Pre- and Post- nuptial Agreements and Cohabitation
Agreements.
She is a member of the Family Law Association and the Glasgow Bar Association. She
is also a Notary Public.
In addition
to her thriving family practice she is also able to offer services in preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney and applying to be appointed as Welfare and Financial Guardian to an adult/family member who has lost capacity to make decisions on their own behalf.
She strongly believes that practising in these areas of law is about more than just
knowing and applying the law. Using skills such as active listening, understanding clients' needs and how to support them at stressful times in their lives is of equal importance.Frances is also appointed as a Legal Member with the First-Tier Tribunal for Scotland
Health and Education Chamber. The Tribunal hears appeals against certain decisions of Education Authorities affecting children and young persons with Additional Support Needs and claims under the Equality Act 2010
In addition to her “day jobs” Frances is a mother to twins and a houseful of cats and a
tortoise. She enjoys spending time in the great outdoors and exploring
new parts of Scotland.
